FA Cup Final Programmes
The FA Cup was first held in 1871–72, and is the oldest association football competition in the world.Because it involves clubs of all standards playing against each other, there is the possibility for "minnows" from the lower divisions to become "giant-killers" by eliminating top clubs from the tournament and even theoretically win the Cup, although lower division teams rarely reach the final stages.
Cup Final programmes are some of the most collected and collectible football programmes still. Although plenty of fans just collect their teams important programmes, a large number of collectors and investors collect just finals.
Other ways of collecting programmes include semi-finals and full cup runs where a collection would be all the football programmes from the first round to the final for the winning team. A fair few collectors also still collect league v non-league and the football programmes from those "giant killing" games.
